Allen was like many of the youths he will support through Foster Dreamzzz; he was left in the hospital for 13 months at birth until he entered the foster care system. Allen’s past gives him vast resources for self-understanding and acceptance of the youth he will empower—Allen’s ultimate goal is to provide these young adults with a strong foundation for their future and create a positive impact on youth aging out of the foster care system starting in the Miami community, then building a strong footprint across the country.
Allen J West began his career in the entertainment industry as the Music Supervisor for Emmy-nominated TV One, four-part original series hosted by Rev Al Sharpton titled Murder in Black & White. He was then the Producer for the Mike Tyson event series, Iron Mike Productions, which aired on Fox Sports in 2014 and was the #1 rated show on the network that year. Allen was the Creative Producer of the TV series titled GIVE which aired weekly on NBC in 2016 and 2017. Give won the 2017 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s or Family Viewing Series. Thereafter, Allen was the Executive Producer and Supporting Actor of a SAG Independent full-length motion picture titled Life, Love, Soul which aired on BET Her in 2018. Most recently, Allen was the Director and Executive Producer of the A&E 10-part docuseries titled Addiction Unplugged which chronicled the Nation’s Opioid Epidemic. Allen is currently co-producing and creating content for a Live Stream Music event with Boxing Legend Floyd Mayweather, Pro Boxer & Mixed Martial Artist John Gotti III and music superstar Ozuna, taking place June 11 from FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
Allen sits on the Board of Directors of Florida Foster Care Review; a Non-Profit Organization established in 1989 that advances the safety, stability, and success of children in foster care. He is also the Media Director of GoUkrania, a Non-Profit Organization that provides humanitarian aid in response to the war in Ukraine by building homes to move displaced families into safe housing.
